Enhanced Device Support, API Synchronization, and Webex Management Upgrades
Phonism introduces new device support, enhanced RingReady™ templates for Webex, expanded API capabilities, and streamlined Webex User Management. Key firmware updates and additional admin controls make this release a major step forward in device flexibility and usability.
Before: Integration synchronization could only be triggered via the Portal.
After: You can now initiate synchronization with a simple REST request to the Phonism API, updating all records between Phonism and the integrated platform.
🌟 Enhancements:
Webex User Management:
Before: When users were created or bulk imported into Phonism, Webex Calling licenses/entitlements or wholesale packages were not always correctly assigned.
After: When creating a user or workspace device in Phonism, you can now select the appropriate Calling entitlements or Wholesale packages. The available Packages & Licenses options directly correspond to the Webex account’s calling entitlements, helping to ensure the device boots up and is RingReady™
User Login Access:
Before: Only Super Admin users had the option to manage “Login Access” in Phonism.
After: Now, “Login Access” management is available for any administrator level.
🐛 Bug Fixes:
Tags:
Fixed an issue where a parameter field in Grandstream device configurations was being overwritten by a tag.
Resolved an issue in Custom Config where tags appeared as resolved in the view.
Grandstream Firmware Updates:
Fixed an issue where, after upgrading the firmware, the system continued to show that an upgrade was needed.
